Engineers In Action's Bridge Program envisions a world in which global citizens connect across cultures to improve quality of life and ensure geography doesn't determine access to opportunity. Since 2006, 32 universities have worked with the Bridge Program, constructing 77 bridges in 11 countries. These bridges have connected over 150,000 previously isolated people to essential resources.
Penn State Engineers In Action strives to bring together students of all backgrounds to revitalize communities by constructing bridges. By working alongside community members and other bridge builders, we foster strong relationships that span the globe. Penn State Engineers In Action has built 5 pedestrian bridges that impact over 10,000 people by giving vital access to education, healthcare and jobs in rural, isolated communities.
